Day 24: Revenge of the Pith
Revenge of the Pith
I was feeling a bit clogged – rather than call The Drain Man, looked up some high fibre foods for juicing. Kiwi, apple, celery, lemon, kale, carrot, cucumber. Reminded me of that Lemon Pepper seasoning. The recommendation was to drink it first thing in the morning, but I like to live on the edge, so I had it before bed. Then I had another one before breakfast. Won’t use any puns here – I’ll just say the recipe is a keeper.
TS13 now gets out his little glass jar and pours himself a fresh OJ/Pineapple juice while I drink my swamp juice.
I thought that folate was only necessary for pregnant women, but there are other benefits like preventing anaemia and dementia (may be too late for that). I do remember overdosing on broccoli when pregnant and thinking it was the baby kicking.
Weigh in Wednesday yet again showed another kilo down. The most noticeable change is in my pants as my legs have lost a bit. I still have my friend Jabba the Gutt hanging around. They say the best ab exercise is 10 sets of Stop Eating Crap!
(this is not a picture of me)
I’m still eating the same sort of foods for meals. And Delta wrote that song about me “Born to Fry”. I have cut out caffeine (well probably more sugar in hot chocolate and chocolate milks than caffeine) fairly easily. Will still have a hot chocolate if I’m out as I’m not a coffee drinker. Now at home I have herbal tea (and maybe a piece of almond bread).
Still waiting for that grey hair to disappear……….
Juicing is part of my day, or every other day, now. Probably more beneficial drinking it as you make it, but in the real world, not all of us have time for that. Plan as much as you can, and if you can’t plan, just make juice with whatever is in the fridge/fruit bowl (and tim tams don’t juice very well).
My aim now is to last longer than the Bachelor couple did.
